According to NetMarketshare, iOS browsing global quota surpassed Linux’s starting from July 2010 and our beloved iPad shares some merit from that with iPhone and iPod touch.

At its Sept. 1 event, Apple trotted out a new iPod touch, iPod Nano, iPod Shuffle, a rekindled Apple TV, and even a brand new social network in iTunes 10.
This annual fall bash held surprises for almost every device that Apple sells – with one notable exception.

CNN launches free international news app for iPhone and iPod Touch

CNN has launched an international news app for the iPhone and iPod Touch, in a move described by the company’s VP for mobile as “revolutionary”.
The interactive app enables users to follow news from across CNN’s outlets, as well as providing a section dedicated to their iReport platform.
The network launched a US-only, paid news app last year but the international version, which became available today, will be free to users outside of the US.

FaceTime for iPod touch to allow customizable logins

Upcoming FaceTime support for the iPod touch — and possibly the iPad — should allow for customizable user details, code examination is said to show. It was recently discovered that Apple is planning to link FaceTime IDs to e-mail addresses attached to Apple ID accounts. On the iPhone 4, FaceTime calls are presently linked to carrier phone numbers.
