Apple released iOS 3.2.2 for the iPad and, of course, iOS 4.0.2 for the iPhone.
The release fixes a critical bug, used by jailbreakme.com to jailbreak iOS devices in a breeze, but way more potentially nasty if exploited by malware.
At the moment there’s no news of such an attack circulating and maybe no one will come. But, do a favor to yourself and your iPad, and please update NOW.
Those who prefer it jailbroken have to wait a little, we suppose, just the time to get noticed by Dev-Team or whoever else …

Revenue from the Apple Stores worldwide was $2.58 billion in Spring quarter for Apple… and one of the primary reasons is iPad.
This number beats any whole Apple quarter from Winter of 1996 through Summer of 2004.
The launch of the iPad helped to increase visitors per store by 38.7 percent, same-store revenues by 52.9 percent, and non-Mac revenues by 106.3 percent.
Astonishing, since Macs are sold very well inside Apple Stores.

Oakville Stamping & Bending announced Gardener’s Buddy 1.0, claiming that is the first plant mapping and recording app for iPad.
The gardener starts creating on a computer a sketch or a map of the garden, to transfer it into the app via iTunes.
The app then generates 25 monthly maps, each with seven planting layers with icon denoting trees, bushes, bulbs, perennials, annuals, herbs, and vegetables.

CNN has launched an international news app for the iPhone and iPod Touch, in a move described by the company’s VP for mobile as “revolutionary”.
The interactive app enables users to follow news from across CNN’s outlets, as well as providing a section dedicated to their iReport platform.
The network launched a US-only, paid news app last year but the international version, which became available today, will be free to users outside of the US.

Apple announced yesterday that the iPad tablet device would go on sale in nine more countries as of Friday, July 23.
The new countries are Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and Singapore. Customers in these countries will be able to buy any of the six iPad models via Apple’s retail stores or Apple Authorized Resellers.
